》YOUR OFFBEAT GUIDES
KRIS ANDRES // GUIDE
Kris is a storyteller of the wild, known for cinematic, dreamlike imagery where human presence meets untamed landscapes. From the frozen silence of Antarctica to the vast landscapes of Mongolia, his work is shaped by a pursuit of meaning, connection, and lived experience in the wildest and most remote places on Earth. A mountaineer and one of four owners of OFFBEAT Photo, he refines immersive photography experiences that push beyond the expected—creating work that feels truly alive. [Bio Photo by Paul Zizka]
CURTIS JONES // GUIDE
Curtis is an adventure, landscape and portrait photographer from Newfoundland and Labrador who considers Nunavut his second home. Never tiring of seeing the sun rise from a new horizon or watching a contagious smile grow on the faces of friends and strangers alike as they step out of their comfort zone, Curtis seeks to tell stories with his photographs as he lives out his own. Throughout his career, he has had the pleasure of working with worldclass athletes, artists, and production teams while shooting in some of the globe’s most raw, wild, and challenging locations. Equal parts adventurer, artist and clown, he is never far from a camera, a tent or a good punchline.

Schedule subject to change.
Day 1 - April 30, 2027
Your Tofino adventure begins with the kickoff session from 1:00 PM – 2:30 PM, where we’ll gather for introductions and an overview of the weekend ahead. This is where vision meets adventure.
As the afternoon unfolds, we’ll head into the field for our first shoot, embracing whatever the coast offers us from wild storms and cinematic fog to glowing skies or golden light.
After a dinner break, we’ll head back out to chase the evening atmosphere, following the light or the moodiness of the coast wherever Mother Nature leads us.
Our first sunset session will take place at one of Tofino or Pacific Rim National Park’s most breathtaking locations, chosen based on conditions.
Day 2 - May 1, 2027
We begin early, venturing out for sunrise at Big Beach or wherever conditions call us. Whether the coastline awakens in soft gold or dramatic layers of stormy grey, we’ll work with the elements to create compelling imagery through both landscapes and human connection.
Following lunch, we’ll continue exploring new locations, chasing atmosphere, shifting weather, and the ever-changing coastal energy that makes this region so unforgettable.
After supper, we return to the field for another evening session, exploring Ucluelet or Pacific Rim National Park in search of dramatic skies, moody textures, or a sunset that sets the coastline ablaze.
Day 3 - May 2, 2027
We rise early one final time to greet the coast at sunrise, capturing soft reflections, dynamic conditions, and the quiet magic of the morning.
After our final session, we’ll gather for a cozy brunch in Tofino to reflect on a weekend filled with creativity, connection, and adventure before saying our goodbyes.
Workshop concludes at 12:00 PM.

“Thank you for hosting such an exceptional workshop. You provided a great mix of environments to photograph which was nicely balanced with time to shoot, reflect and learn new skills. Assistance was easy to access and the leaders were encouraging and very willing to share their knowledge with participants. The overall environment; whether in the field or back and the lodge; was relaxed and inviting. And of course; one must comment on the exceptional meals provided throughout the workshop. Lots of laughs were had and memories were made! Thank you for such an exceptional experience OFFBEAT Leaders! There are definitely more workshops with OFFBEAT in my future! 5⭐️

“Offbeat is unique. Not just a photography workshop; not just a tour; not just one event...NO; what you are building here is a Community. I've met so many wonderful people through here who have remained friends and with whom I look forward to traveling with again and again.
