WHAT OUR PARTICIPANTS HAVE TO SAY

“Attending the Portraits in High Places workshop in Banff opened my eyes to a photographic world of limitless possibilities. The talks and the field demonstrations and the hands-on instruction were extremely informative and they have given me much to consider. I now have a much better idea of what I need to do to grow as a photographer. Attending this workshop turned into a key moment in my life and one that I will forever remember. The camaraderie, generosity of time and spirit that was shared among the leaders, photographers and models were very impressive and added to an extremely rewarding experience.”

— Michael R.

“I felt the level of collaboration and support among the participants in this one was exceptional and so was the size of the group. It is easier to hide in bigger groups when I feel insecure with my skills and talent. The content was timely, appropriate and exceedingly well organized. The facilitators’ presentation skills were exceptional. I came away with a little more confidence and a lot more knowledge. Thanks, Dave and Paul!!!”

-Jan L.

I can’t recommend the PIHP workshop enough. It was an outstanding course! I came into this course with no idea what to expect having minimal photography experience. I was blown away at how quickly we were taught to make stunning portraits. I’ve done a lot of schooling/courses in different disciplines and instructed many things myself. I have to say OFFBEAT has created the most professional, fun, and engaging learning environment I’ve ever experienced by far.

World-class photographers instructing in one of the world’s most beautiful places attracts a unique and diverse group of participants. These participants add a wealth of experience and learning opportunities. The models are incredible and bring a wide range of wardrobes, props and ideas. The potentials are endless. More than lakes, mountains and trees, you will be given unexpected locations and scenarios to challenge your newly learned skills.

-Warren Sharpe
