Our mornings started slowly with coffee, breakfast, and our cameras, while sunset meant staying out just a little longer because the light just doesn’t stop here.

Those moments when the mountains catch the last glow of the day, the lake begins to reflect the sky, and everyone suddenly goes quiet because we’re all seeing the same thing through our own cameras—that’s the good stuff.

Of course, the Yukon had a few surprises for us too.

Weather is always part of the adventure in the North, and some of our best photographic opportunities came from embracing whatever conditions were thrown our way. Clouds, changing light, wind, and shifting skies all became part of the story.

Each night, we kept an eye on the skies for stars and, hopefully, a glimpse of the aurora. Because you can never really visit the Yukon without looking up after dark and wondering what might happen next.

I've photographed mountains all over the world, but nothing quite prepares you for the Himalayas.

They aren't simply “big” mountains. They're so vast that your brain struggles to understand what you're looking at. You lose all sense of scale while you strain your neck, constantly looking up at the summits that seem to stretch endlessly into the sky. They're difficult to photograph because no image can truly communicate their size. They're difficult to describe because there really aren't adequate words.

When you experience Western Mongolia, you change.

You begin to see the world through a different lens. You hear stories of old traditions and ways of life that have endured for generations, and through this adventure, you become part of that story. You live alongside the traditions, share in them, and leave with the feeling that a small piece of Mongolia now lives within you.

This was one for the books. After months of planning, we finally came together in Uyuni, met our incredible local team, and set out on not one—but two back-to-back journeys across the Bolivian altiplano. From the very first evening, the Salar de Uyuni delivered in full: glassy reflections, endless horizons, and those unreal, lingering sunsets that make you lose track of time. Honestly, we could have spent days longer out there and still not had enough.
